Villain in this movie?

Which character do you think best embodies the role of villain in this movie? If you really think about it, there isn't one central villain, unlike in other Pixar movies (The Incredibles has Syndrome, A Bug's Life has Hopper, etc).

For this movie, I've heard people say the barracuda, Bruce, the dentist, and/or the ocean. What do you guys think?

It's a fresh change that there isn't really a villan. I get tired of all the cartoon movies (and other movies) having a villan. This one was wonderfully made with just a few problem characters...sharks, fish with dangling light, jellyfish, whale (who actually had good intensions), seagulls, pellican that ate them, and the dentist and Darla. It's just so nice to have only minor problems rather than one major problem like in Monster's Inc where they had Randall, for instance.

I guess the dentist is the closest thing to an antagonist — he sets the whole plot in motion by taking Nemo in the first place. But he's hardly a villain in the strictest sense. He's sort of an unwitting antagonist though, as he has absolutely no idea that he's keeping a child from his father.

Darla, she is the murderer lol and the dentist, without him nemo would be fine....
