After finding this article, which was written nine years before the films release, it makes me wonder why Michael Black didn't want to be included in the film. I would think the producers would've wanted to use his real name, especially since it seems like he was the most successful to come out of that program football wise. Unless maybe they didn't want to use the actual story of how he ended up at Camp Kilpatrick. But as big of a role as he played in that program it makes you wonder. You can't even find his picture anywhere. The article is a great read though:
