I thought the movie was absoulutely fantastic. But the ending was absulutly bad to me.

they make mama seem to be a good but troubled ghost, who actually is an insane lady who killed her baby, 3 other people, and keeps the kids alive to help her feel better, not to help them, and if she see's people spending to much time with them she gets jelous and kills them.(very bad house guess if you ask me)
At the end mama falls of the cliff with the youngest girl, and they both die, and the little girl turns into a moth.
Please tell me what you thought of the ending.

I thought the movie was freaking greaet....right up to the very end. I figured Mama was a tortured soul because her baby was never laid to rest....once that were to happen...she could "cross over" for lack of a better term.
The fact that after she was given back her baby...the director still chose to have her take the young daughter was way off track for me. It should have ended when she hot her baby's remains...Yes...a little hokey....but I would have left the movie feeling like she was just a tortured soul...I would have been okay with that. LOL
I think they were just trying to be different. I mean all the horror movies out there have the same storyline of the ghosts getting their revenge, or their loved ones back at the end and blah blah ghost is finally at peace, etc.
This one was unique in the sense that the victim actually wanted to be with the ghost. It definitely provoked a different type of feeling out of me. But didn't matter much anyway since I thought the movie was weak overall. meh.
I just seen this movie and I totally hate the end. I really hate the beginning. It is just like the director and producer could not find a better story. I would have preferred that one of the "parents" died. That will be the last time I will ever see a movie from this director. Zero stars.
