Anyone here ever thought that Elizabeth was annoying?
Looking back at the films, all three of them I come to realizes that she was a lousy character NO! The worst love interest I have ever seen. Yes she kicked ass and yes she loved Will so much but she was so annoying. She would either be endanger or kidnapped but what really annoys me about her was that to me she seemed like a pirate groupie that got to play pirate for three films. I wished they came up with a better female character for Will.

I wouldn't say annoying, maybe typical for the genre. Woman folk in old stories are there to be rescued, and this was very old fashioned stuff. I'm not sure what they could have done differently, apart from just not having a female character in the story. But if there was no female, who would they rescue?
