He's been in some great movies (Se7en, 12 Monkeys, Jesse James), but he's somewhat overshadowed by his costars or the film itself, but IMO he flat-out owned Fight Club. I'm not taking anything away from Norton (who nailed his role as usual), or Fincher's amazing direction but damn Pitt was electrifying in this. It could be that he was playing a version of himself which is the underlying irony of him starring as Tyler Durden is genius.
Let's not forget 12 monkeys, he played a crazy guy really well haha
It's his second best performance in my opinion after Jesse James. And while his performance was more iconic(the role demanded it), I think Edward Norton delivered the superior performance.
I think he's a criminally underrated actor, and this is his most iconic role. I've never been as blown away by an actor in a film as I was with Brad Pitt in "Fight Club".
12 monkeys. Until this,I thought he was just another actor whose main strength was their looks but in 12 monkeys he demolished this assumption.
