What were they thinking casting Sean Penn as Mickey Cohen? It was absolutely dreadful. He played it like a bad Batman villain. The audience was laughing at his performance at the screening I attended. His portrayal is so bad and over the top it takes away from the entire movie

He's an over the top actor, I wish people would see that.
It's like he tries every year to get an Oscar, it's kinda annoying. I respect box-office actors more than him, I mean look at "This Must be the Place" just horrible over the top acting.
